I've never made it a secret that I don't like Ryan Theriot the baseball player. He hardly hits, strikes me as awful in the field playing shortstop, and is as inept on the base-paths as Moises Alou. Still he does his best to play everyday, seems to get along with his teammates and the media loves him.
Then he goes and says this when asked about Milton. From the Chicago Sun-Times
''We've been doing things [in the clubhouse] the last two weeks of the season that we hadn't done all year, that we did last year and the year before last,'' shortstop Ryan Theriot said. ''It's definitely a different feel. I don't know why that is. I'm not going to sit here and say it's one person's fault. But you start to look at it, and it's kind of like, 'Maybe.' I don't know.''
The "relaxed" Cubs went a whopping 8-6 without Milton, and would have been 8-7 had that game against the Pirates not been rained out. Ryan Theriot managed to hit .243 with a .364 OBP. Factor in Theriot's three caught stealings and you have a Ryan Theriot OBP of .288. That means that a relaxed and Milton Bradley free Theriot still sucked at baseball.
Shut up Theriot, stop feeding BS to the media just because they want to hear it. You suck at baseball, and aren't as good at it as Milton Bradley is.
