About TCB

Talking Chicago Baseball was founded in February 2009 as a way for the authors to whine about the Cubs and White Sox. Now it is a top destination for all the latest Cubs and White Sox news and analysis. We have all the current news for both teams in Chicago and proudly do so with as much bias as possible.

I was done with the Milton Bradley and racism and Cubs fans issue, but it's news again thanks to former Cub Kerry Wood. Wood was on the Waddle and Silvy show the other day and told them that he witnessed racist hate mail that guys like LaTroy Hawkins, Dusty Baker, and Jacque Jones got from Cubs fans.

Obviously this kind of behavior is awful, and is most likely limited to a select few assholes who never left the 1960s. Still this story is sad for two reasons. First is that it happens to begin with, but second that NOW people will belive what Milton Bradley had been saying. Before this story I'm willing to bet that most of the Milton haters just laughed his claims of racism off as Milton being paranoid. Now that Kerry Wood said something it somehow brings credibility to what Milton had been saying.

Thankfully though Kerry was willing to speak up and tell the truth, those Milton hating media members who blew off his claims as BS can now try to explain themselves.

What a fun way to start the Ricketts' era.
