Milton Bradley has nothing on what is about to happen to Cubs fans. With one innocent tweet from Phil Rogers I realized that this Curtis Granderson thing is much bigger than what I thought it would be. This is going to be the Brian Roberts/Jake Peavy five month rumor for winter 2009. It all fits perfectly, we have the expectation of aggressiveness, the inventory to get it done, and, based on Granderson being from Chicago, plenty of chances to hear about him singing Go Cubs Go at hotel bars.

I'll apologize in advance for posting every little stupid rumor that comes about this and for putting up a proposal of my own last night. Based on what happened the last two winter's I can predict a long four months of strange rumors. Every Cub prospect and player will be mentioned, there will be a tweet once a week saying we are thisclose to finishing the deal. In the end Granderson will either be a Yankee or remain a Tiger.
